We are changing vendors for our fun run this year. We have had several successful years with Booster, but thought it was time for a change. This years event will be with American Fundraising. Stay tuned for more info in February. We are looking for ideas and thoughts on fundraising items for this years run. Please take a moment to complete this online survey to vote for already thought of ideas or to submit a new idea we haven't thought of. Remember items must be able to benefit ALL students and staff at Collins PK8. As always the main fundraising is for the PTSA to sponsor beneficial Programs and Events for the families and staff at Collins PK8. Survey 2023 -2024 We are moving away from big purchases and more into the funds benefiting the programs we bring to the school. We were able to fund our programs and events for the 2024 -2025 school year with our funds. We were able to also purchase a new poster printer for the school and additional document cameras that work with the new smartboard units in the classrooms. We also were able to purchase toner cartridges for all HP printers in classrooms as well as new entry rugs with the new school logo. OUR 2022/2023 FUNDRAISING GOAL This was our 4th year of working with Boosterthon and with our restrictions and ongoing construction, we were still able to raise $29,500!!! This money was used to purchase new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) equipment as well as Specials ( Art, Music, and P.E.) equipment, with some left over for new murals once construction is completed. |
History:
Panther Run initially began at our school in 2013 to raise money for some of the bigger ticket items to benefit the school. In 2019 we switched from an all PTA run event to using Boosterthon and we exceeded our fundraising goal, raising more than we ever had! We were able to purchase new printers for every classroom teacher and several other support staff members as well AND we purchased a book vending machine. Historically the money raised from this event has purchased the installation of mounted ceiling projectors into every classroom, giving the teachers ease of use and creating an interactive learning experience. We have also been able to purchase three water bottle filling stations as well as stencils and paint to create playground/recess games on the sidewalks/courts. In addition, we've purchased new rugs for the Kindergarten classrooms. We have purchased and installed outdoor classroom areas, with cushioned seats, outdoor benches and large sunshades to create a fun chance to continue learning outdoors, but to protect from the Florida heat. We were able to solicit an amazing muralist to paint the new school logo murals throughout the campus. We are able to purchase a new poster maker machine for all staff to utilize. We are able to purchase a few new entry rugs with the new school logo. Toners for all classroom printers.
